Cut-Pile Turkish Carpet Making: History and Mystery with Anne Reaves
Saturday morning, 9 am to 12 noon
The next time you step on your carpets, you’ll look at them in a completely new way. Learn a brief history of handmade carpets and then try the techniques on a small sample to take home. You will learn the Turkish Knot and practice extensively. Participants will choose motifs and colors.
Workshop fee: $50
Beginner level, no previous experience required
Materials fee: $10, includes pre-warped cardboard frame, yarn, charted motif, instructional handouts
