Driving to the Wool Show with a trailer in tow:
You MUST use the INDOT detour route for trucks. Greencastle Police Department is issuing tickets to violators in the local passenger detour route. The side streets are exceptionally narrow and not for commercial traffic.
NOTE!!! This route will add approximately 40 minutes to your commute.
Driving to the Wool Show official Truck route detour from I-70 West:
Follow I-70 to the Belleville Exit (Route 39). Turn right (North) onto Route 39.
Follow Route 39 to Route 40. Turn left (West) onto Route 40.
Follow Route 40 to Highway 75. Turn right (North) onto Highway 75.
Follow Highway 75 to Highway 36 (new stoplight at this junction). Turn left (West) onto Highway 36.
Follow Highway 36 to Highway 231. (stoplight) Turn left (South) onto Highway 231.
Follow Highway 231 to the County Fairgrounds.

Follow I-70 to the Cloverdale Exit (Route 231). Turn left (North) on Highway 231 to Route 40.
Turn right (East) onto Route 40. Follow Route 40 to Highway 75.
Turn left (North) onto Highway 75. Follow Highway 75 to Highway 36 (new stoplight at this junction).
Turn left (West) onto Highway 36. Follow Highway 36 to Highway 231. (stoplight)
Turn left (South) onto Highway 231.
Follow Highway 231 to the County Fairgrounds.

Take 465 South to Rt. 36 West.
Use Rt. 36 West to Highway 231 South.
Follow 231 South until the Putnam County Fairgrounds are on the East side (left).

Take I-70 East or Rt. 40 East to Highway 231 North
Follow 231 North into town to Southern Highway/Veteran’s Highway (Highway 240). Turn left at stop light. (The Silo Murals will be on your left across the street at the light)
Follow Southern Highway until the road “T” into South Jackson Street.
Turn right onto South Jackson St. (heading north).
Follow South Jackson Street to Washington St. (County Courthouse stoplight).
Turn left (West) onto Washington St. for two short city blocks to Madison Street.
Turn right (North) onto Madison Street for 8 long blocks.
Turn right (East) onto West Frazier Street for one block.
Turn left onto Highway 231.
The Fairgrounds will be on the right in approximately 2 miles.
