Johnson, Jennifer

Jennifer Johnson

Jennifer's creative desire is to take an idea or concept and bring that idea into physical reality.

Weaving is her passion, teaching is her gifting. Her adoration and appreciation of all things textiles is reflected in her broad experience of working threads – Hardanger embroidery, tatting, crewel, cross stitch, sewing, crochet, weaving, band weaving, button making.

A teacher at heart, Jennifer has taught new fiber artists of all ages. She thoroughly enjoys the creativity embodied in new artists. There are few preconceived notions of what's 'right' and thus, anything is possible!

Jennifer teaches at Tabby Tree Weavers, Fishers, IN and her studio, Fiber Maker Studio, in Greencastle. Additionally, she is the leader of “A Strong Beginning study group” for the Illinois Prairie Weaver's Guild and Vice-President of the Weaving Indiana Guild. She has presented to regional weaving guilds on a wide range of weaving topics (“Weaving to Go”, “Which Loom is for you”, “Summer and Winter”, “Beginning Inkle weaving”, among others).
