The Greencastle Wool Show is a juried event. The Executive Board may invite vendors, and may deny applications for any reason. Violations of the Vendor Regulations listed on this page are grounds for denial of applications to vend at future events.

September 30, 2024: Prior vendors must apply by this date in order to maintain priority for their prior booth space.

Vendor Regulations
Vendors must be finished setting up before the doors open on Friday.
Vendors may not pack up before the end of sales at 4:00 pm on Saturday.
Vendors must be set up for both Friday and Saturday.
No tents are allowed indoors.
Vendors are prohibited from driving their vehicles inside buildings, as well as blocking off entrances and exits from other people.
Pets are not allowed inside buildings. Live fiber-producing animals are acceptable in the Fiber Arts Building and outside. This includes sheep, llamas, alpacas, angora goats, and angora rabbits. Vendors who bring animals into their booths are expected to remove all bedding and manure from their booth space before leaving the fairgrounds.
Vendors who do not exit the fairgrounds by 6 pm on Saturday will be fined $50 per 30 minutes or any portion thereof. Vendors must remit payment of the fine in order to vend at the following year’s event.
Load in time is Thursday 2 pm to 7 pm and Friday 8 am to 10 am.
Load out time is Saturday 4 pm to 6 pm.
Vendors are expected to comply with all laws and regulations related to anything they are selling in their booth. Food Vendors are required to obtain a health permit from the Putnam County Board of Health prior to the start of the event.
Vendors are expected to be kind to other vendors, customers, and volunteers. In addition, vendors are expected to conduct themselves in a responsible and business-like manner.
Event Provisions
Greencastle Wool Show does not provide any tables or chairs.
Electricity is scattered throughout both the Fiber Arts Building and the Community Building. Greencastle Wool Show does its best to work accommodate those who request electricity, but access can not be guaranteed. Food Vendors: at this time, the Fairgrounds only have two 220 outlets outside.
The Greencastle Wool Show Executive Board does its best to find volunteers to help with load-in, load-out, booth sitting, and errand running, but can not guarantee that volunteers will be available at a particular time, if at all.
Doors to each building are locked at the end of the day on Thursday and Friday.
Police officers are on the fairgrounds during the event, at a minimum during the operating hours.
Booth sizes and assignments may change up until the event begins, depending upon the conditions at the fairgrounds.
During the Event
Restrooms can be found in the Community Building, Harris Hall, and the Arena.
Food vendors will be available for the duration of the event. Food vendors are included in the overall vendor list for the event.
On Friday, 6-8 pm, we hold Fiber and Friends. This is a casual, hang out and craft, event held in Harris Hall. Vendors are welcome to attend. We also ask Vendors for items we can use as door prizes during this event. If you’d like to donate items, you can drop something off at the Welcome Desk at any point before we close shopping at 5 pm on Friday. A Greencastle Wool Show volunteer may also visit your booth on Friday, asking for a door prize.
Accommodations
Onsite camping will be available. However, the fairgrounds does not turn on the running water until after the possibility of freezing temperatures has passed. This means that even if it is forecast to be sunny and 70 degrees during our event, the fairgrounds may not turn the water on due to potential freezes after our event.
Camping is $30 per day and must be paid before leaving Saturday afternoon. Camping should be paid separately from booth fees, at the Welcome Desk in the Community Building. Cash is preferred for camping fees.
There are a handful of hotels in Greencastle, but they are usually booked a year in advance. The closest hotels can be found in Cloverdale, off of Interstate 70, which is about a 20 minute drive. 30 minutes to the north is Crawfordsville, which also has accommodations available.
